Zola Winn's Obituary
Zola Gaile Winn, age 74, of Westfield, died on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at the Markwell Funeral Chapel in Westfield with Rev. Ronnie Gross officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on September 9, 2005 at the funeral chapel and burial will be in the Butternut Cemetery south of Casey. She was born October 30, 1930 in Moonshine, the daughter of Mervin Allen and Etta Fay Matheny Chapman. She married Stanley Winn, Jr. on May 22, 1949 in Marshall; he preceded her in death on May 17, 2004. She was a cook at the Westfield Cafe and the Westfield Diner and a member of the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Surviving are three sons, Daniel Winn, Sr. and wife Darlene of Casey, Jim Winn of Mattoon and Johnny Winn of Westfield, daughters Janis Darr and husband Ron of Martinsville and Donna Saylor and special friend Cooter Nichols of Greenup, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,husband, granddaughter Jennifer Winn, brother Don Chapman and three sisters, Bernice Ulrey, Mildren Bolt and Lorene Good. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
