Wilma Jean Tefft's Obituary
Wilma Jean Tefft, 81, of Marshall, formerly of Westfield,IL died at 8:14 a.m. Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Burnside Nursing Home in Marshall, IL. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, at the Markwell Chapel in Westfield with the Rev. Paul Flowers officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 29 at the Markwell Chapel. She was born March 4, 1925 in Westfield, daughter of Everett "Slim" Chambers and Margaret Voltenberg Chambers. She married Thomas L. Tefft on March 17, 1950 in Westfield; he died on January 25, 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Audrey Sanders of Marshall; and twin grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Sanders. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son-in-law, Terry Sanders; a brother, Lloyd Chambers; and sisters, Mary Emery and Maxine Chambers. Mrs. Tefft had been a teacher in the Paris Memorial Grade School for over 20 years and the Tolono Grade School. She was a member of the Westfield Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
