Wilma Jean Bowen's Obituary
Wilma Jean Bowen, 86, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 5:09 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at her home in Casey, Illinois. She was born September 30, 1922, the daughter of William "Bill" Atkins and Rose Marie Thronburgh Atkins. On April 30, 1977 she married Floyd A. Bowen; he passed away in 1986. Survivors include son, Herald Tharp of Casey, IL; stepson, James Williams and wife Sue of Effingham, IL; stepson, Richard Williams and wife Candy of Oblong, IL; daughter in law, Dianna Robinson of Sandwich, IL; step daughter in law, Donna Williams of Oblong, IL; grandchildren, Carlotta Athey and husband Rick, Suzanne Biggs and husband Roger, Trent Tharp, Ammie Tharp Murry and husband Kenneth, James, Shelly, Missy, Tony, Angie, Ricky, Kevin, Kent, Jesi, Joy, Lewie Jr.; step grandson, Michael Davis; great grandchildren, Brock, Bryant and Brianna Athey, Garrett and Tia Biggs, Emily Taillac, Wade Tharp and many more. Her parents, husband, sons, Gerald L. Tharp, Kenneth Williams and Roy Lee Williams; daughter, Joyce Tharp and brothers, Raymond Atkins and Clifford Atkins preceded her in death. Mrs. Bowen was retired as a finisher for Ettlebrick Shoe Company after twenty-five years. Funeral services will he held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, Illinois with Rev. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home in Martinsville, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, 700 Broadway Ave. East, Suite 9, Mattoon, IL 61938.
