William H "Bill" Squires' Obituary
William H. "Bill" Squires III, 68, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:43 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home in Casey, IL. He was born October 23, 1945 in Effingham, IL, the son of William Hamilton Squires, Jr. and Lois J. Chrysler Squires. On April 12, 1968 he married Janet E. Biggs in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Janet Squires of Casey, IL; sons, William Dale Squires and wife Michelle of Nashville, TN and Kurt Russell Squires and fiancé Chrissy Richardson of Casey, IL; granddaughter, Addie Elizabeth Squires; sisters, Carol Sherwood and husband Ray of Effingham, IL; Christine Edwards and husband Roger of Casey, IL and Linda Eder of Port Edwards, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law, Ron Eder. Bill was a retired draftsman for the Reasor Corporation - Unibuilt Division in Charleston, IL and most recently CIPS Ameren. He was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church. Bill loved nature and spending time in the woods; he enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and traveling. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Casey Chaos fan. He especially enjoyed watching his son and granddaughter play softball. A perfect afternoon for Bill was driving through the countryside in his truck, smoking his pipe and drinking a coke. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Casey United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Penelope H. Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N State Hwy 49, Casey, IL.
