Wilda Baxter's Obituary
Wilda Baxter, 90, of Martinsville, IL passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 11:10 p.m. at Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall, IL. She was born on February 14, 1920 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Ralph M. Davis and Mamie Ross Davis. On May 20, 1939 she married Victor Baxter in Palmyra, MO. He passed away on August 2, 1992. Survivors include a son, Michael Baxter and wife Jo of Miami, FL; a daughter, Patricia DeWeese of Martinsville, IL; four grandsons and 10 great grandchildren. Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson, Calvin Longfellow. Wilda was a homemaker and a member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church, the Martinsville American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Rev. John Gartelos officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Martinsville United Methodist Church 115 N.
