Wilbur Dean Hill's Obituary
Wilbur Dean Hill, 75, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at his home in Martinsville, IL. He was born on September 27, 1938 in Watseka, IL, the son of Oneil Sanford Hill and Doris Louise Kendall Hill. On September 27, 1972, he married Lana K. Brosseau in Donovan, IL. She passed away on June 17, 2011. Survivors include daughter, Penny Ann Orrell and husband Andy of Elcampo, TX; son, Dale Alan Hill and wife Joanna of Hilliard, OH; son, David Lee Hill and wife Lisa of Paris, IL; daughter, Tammy J. Miller and husband Michael of Terre Haute, IN; stepson, Stephen Powers of WI; brothers, Guy Hill of Elcampo, TX and Richard Hill and wife Darlene of Sheldon, IL; sister, Delores Hill of Martinsville, IL; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lana K. Hill; sister, Darcy Lee Hill and grandson, Dean Hill. Dean was US Army veteran and a member of the Marshall American Legion Post #90. He also served as a Dolson Township board member. Dean was a retired farmer and had previously worked as a mechanic for Mooney Auto Dealership in Paris, IL. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Bluegrass Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow with graveside military rites by the Marshall American Legion Post #90. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday morning prior to the service at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Memorial donations may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, 1000 Health Center Drive, Mattoon, IL 61938.
