Wesley Allen "Bucky" Housel's Obituary
Wesley "Bucky" Allen Housel, 62, of Casey, IL formerly of Decatur, IL passed away at 11:42 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his home. He was born November 4, 1949 in Springfield, IL, the son of James Wesley Housel and Myrtle Ann Hamilton Housel. Survivors include his son, James "Jay" Wesley Housel and wife Whitney Allison Housel of Casey, IL; sister, Sue (Voni) Ghast of Casey, IL, grandchildren, Kobyn James Housel and Jaylin Elise Housel; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Wesley Housel; mother and stepfather, Myrtle Ann and Jess Bostick and brothers, Jerry Lee Housel and Danny William Housel. Bucky was retired as a self-employed carpenter. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Casey VFW. He attended the Casey Cumberland Presbyterian Church. One of his favorite past times was attending cars shows with his Corvette and Chevy truck. He also enjoyed riding his Harley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Pastor Ron Juenger officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL with graveside military rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Casey VFW, 300 S. Central Ave., Casey, IL 62420. Memorial tributes may be shared with the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com. Markwell Funeral Home of Casey, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
