Wayne Bashford Simpson's Obituary
Wayne Bashford Simpson, 83, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, Illinois. He was born on June 14, 1925 in Casey, Illinois, the son of Virgil Jacob Simpson and Fern Ethel Barr Simpson. On November 8, 1946 he married Norma Jean McMullen in Morganfield, Kentucky. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Jean Simpson of Casey, Illinois; daughter, Beth Ann Lauriano and husband David of Flower Mound, TX; and grandchildren, Brianne Lauriano, Stephanie Lauriano and Kaylynn Lauriano. His parents preceded him in death. Wayne was a life long farmer. He was a US Navy WWII veteran. He was a member of the Casey White Oak Church of God where he taught Sunday School. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Pastor David Ridge officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Cemetery, south of Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
