Wayne Dee Carver's Obituary
Wayne Dee Carver, 76, of Casey, IL went to be with the Lord at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 26, 1936, in Cumberland Co., IL, the son of Ossie H. and Opal Mae Hanners Carver. On October 2, 1971, he married Linda Owen in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Linda Owen Carver of Casey, IL; sons, Wayne L. Carver of Greenup, IL and Jack Carver and wife Teresa of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Pam Dunckel and husband Chris of Casey, IL and Jennifer McDaniels and husband Sean of Terre Haute, IN; sister, Elberta Williams of Arcadia, FL; grandchildren, Sheree (Nic) Krueger, Sascha (Bill) Gambill, Shannon Davis, Raissa Carver, Keeze Carver, James (Jessica) Dunckel, Luke Dunckel, Joshua Dunckel and Nathen Dunckel and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and identical twin brother, Wendell Carver. Wayne attended Casey High School. He provided for his family working for the Ettlebrick Shoe Factory and in the oilfields for most of his life. Wayne was an avid sportsman, being a member of all local Sportsmen's Clubs. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N.
