Warren Frank Leader's Obituary
Warren Frank Leader, 79, of Casey, IL passed away at 9:16 on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home. He was born April 23, 1934 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Glen Charles Leader, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Fehlmann Leader. On August 29, 1970 he married Laura Jane Maude Donovan. She passed away on October 28, 2002. He later married Pam Chapman Craig on June 27, 2006. Survivors include his wife, Pam Leader of Casey, IL; son, Hugh James Elmer of Hawaii; daughter, Jane Marie McCarron of Parker, CO; sisters, Mary Lou Hoxie of Marietta, NY and Shirley Weldon of Auburn, NY; stepsons, Michael Craig of Charleston, IL; Timothy Craig of Casey, IL; Robert Craig of Martinsville, IL and Danny Craig of Casey, IL and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Laura Leader; brothers, Glenn, Donald and Bruce Leader and infant sister, Virginia Leader. Warren was a farmer in upstate New York and farmed with the Edens family in Casey, IL. He had previously worked for the Safford, NY highway department for 22 years. He had also been employed as an agent for the DEA (drug, alcohol, firearms) in Colorado and New York. Warren was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Burial will be held in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N.
