Wallace Floyd Sanders' Obituary
Rev. Wallace Floyd Sanders, 73, of Mattoon, Illinois passed away at 3:50 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Casey Health Care Center, Casey, Illinois. He was born on October 24, 1936 in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Earle Sanders and Helen Marie Williamson Sanders. He is survived by his son, Wally Sanders and wife Susan of Westfield, IL; granddaughters, Heidi Lichauer and husband Jason of Mattoon, IL and Ally Sanders of Westfield, IL; and brother, Earle Sanders of Champaign, IL. Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Richard Sanders. Wallace was a former Pastor at the East Side Apostolic Church in Mattoon, IL and a Cable Splicer for Illinois Consolidated for twenty-one years. At his request a private family service and burial were held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Humboldt Cemetery in Humboldt, IL with Rev. Dana Zartman officiating. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131-3597.
