Virginia Lee Hutchings' Obituary
Virginia Lee Hutchings, 71, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born March 5, 1940, in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Carl Hutchings and Mary Elizabeth Amyx Hutchings. Survivors include her brother, Robert Hutchings and wife Dorothy of Houston, TX; several nieces and nephews; friend and caregiver, Marilyn Osborne of Casey, IL; friend and neighbor, Elveira Harthan of Martinsville, IL and her beloved poodle, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Ray Hutchings. Virginia was a homemaker. She had previously lived and worked in San Mateo, California for many years and participated in animal rescue while in California. She was a 1958 graduate of Martinsville High School, Martinsville, IL and attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL. Graveside inurnment beside her parents in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals) P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929 or to the donor's choice.
