Vera M Connelly's Obituary
Vera M. Connelly, 92, of Casey IL passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born March 10, 1919, in Oilfield, IL, the daughter of Charles Richardson and May Pearl Biggs Richardson. On April 21, 1934, she married Ernest E. Connelly. He passed away on May 2, 1985. Survivors include son, Leon Connelly of Martinsville, IL; son, Charles (Joan) Connelly of Peoria, AZ; brother, James Richardson of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Dennis (Terri) Connelly, Cheryl (Dave) Lovell, Rick (Cindy) Connelly, Caresa Bartels, Kim Bender and Doug Connelly; great grandchildren, Kayla Connelly, Susan Russell, Amy Slankard, Hope Sutter, Alisha Lowry, Brandy Arney, Shannon Staszak, and Heather Bartels and great great grandchildren, Bridgette, Brooke, Brian, Andrew, Audrey, Samantha, Chloe, Cooper, Ethan, Alex, Olivia, Myah, Baby Boy Arney, Shaydin and Sylus. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant twin sister, Vora Richardson; sisters, Nellie Southard and Goldie James; brother, Golden Richardson; daughter in law, Mary Connelly and great granddaughter, Natasha Connelly. Vera was a homemaker. She was a member of the Willis Chapel Church of God and Willis Chapel Ladies Aid, which she served as a Past President. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Dan Ledley and Rev. Terry Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
