Tucker Jo Duitsman's Obituary
Tucker Jo Duitsman, 12, of Westfield, IL passed away at 12:38 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Louis Children's Hospital. He was born on January 16, 2002 in Mattoon, IL, the son Rosella Kay Cown Duitsman. He is survived by his mother, Rosella Duitsman and friend, Mike Evard; brothers, Hunter Duitsman of Westfield, IL and Taylor Duitsman of Rantoul, IL; nephew, Brayden Duitsman; PaPa and Mam Ma, William and Mary Cown of Casey, IL; paternal grandparents, Maynard and Joann Duitsman of Gifford, IL; Aunt J and Uncle Donnie Brandenburg of Casey, IL, Aunt Mary and Uncle Charlie of Westfield, IL and Uncle Billy and Aunt Lori Cown of Newton, IL; cousins, William and Joshua Black, Kylee and Homer Cown, Coltin Brandenburg, Michelle and Johnny Noggle, Greg Hampton, LeAnn Warner and Katlin and Curtis Boruff; and many special friends. Tucker fought a courageous battle against leukemia until God called him home. He was a 7th grader at Casey-Westfield Junior/Senior High School. Tucker was very involved in Little League baseball, dance classes with the Studio III Dance and Tumbling Academy in Casey and the local Special Olympics. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts and Clark County 4-H. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 2 pm prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N.
