Toni Anne Baird's Obituary
Toni Anne Baird, age 77, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 10:27 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 11, 1946 in Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Neil Robert Romines and Dorothy E. (Riley) Romines. On February 10, 1968 she married Joe Baird in Martinsville, IL; he passed away on January 12, 2014.
Survivors include her sons, Paul Ashley Baird and Sheila of Martinsville, IL and Troy Aaron Baird of Keokuk, IA; granddaughters, Brianna Ashley Baird of Charleston, IL and Aryn Willow Baird of Keokuk, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Robert "Butch" Romines.
Toni was a 1964 graduate of Martinsville High School and continued her education obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She was a dedicated and caring RN for Heartland Manor in Casey, IL for over forty years. Tony loved her four cats, two dogs, and rabbit. Her passions were crafting and baking pies for everyone she knew. She enjoyed her quiet times at her river cabin with her dogs and cats.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Baird Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
