Timmy G "Tim" Hammond's Obituary
Timmy "Tim" G. Hammond, 58, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:47 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home. He was born August 26, 1956 in Terre Haute, IN the son of Morris G. Hammond and LaVaughn D. Cutright Hammond. On May 2, 1987 he married Donna Irene Koester in Englewood, CO. She passed away on March 25, 2014. Survivors include his brother, Rick G. Hammond of Casey, IL; nephew Ricky D. Hammond and his family of Terre Haute, IN; aunts, Dena Harris of Englewood, CO and Pat Isle of Winfield, IA; many cousins, caring neighbors and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna Hammond; uncles, Olen Hammond, James, Leo and Terry Cutright and aunts, Reba Laws, Hazel Woodard, Paralee Daughhetee, Madge Allentharp and Linda Kay Robey. Tim was a 1975 graduate of Westfield High School and a graduate of Lake Land College. He currently was employed at Walmart in Charleston, IL as the meat department manager. Tim spent most of his working career in Terre Haute, IN placing dislocated workers in new jobs. Tim loved to golf and enjoyed spending time with the friends at the Casey VFW. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 E. Colorado St., Casey, IL with Pastor Michael Kasting officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Casey VFW, 300 S. Central Ave., Casey, IL 62420.
