Theodore Jay Stivers of Casey, IL entered eternal life on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 57.Theodore was born on June 12th, 1961 in Mattoon, IL to James and Tabitha (Newlin) Stivers.Ted was a 1979 graduate of Casey High School. He was a self-employed construction contractor. Ted had a passion for the outdoors enjoying hunting and fishing. He took great pleasure in his children and grandchildren taking them hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed the game of pool and the competition that came with it. Ted was loved by many people and can be remembered for his friendliness and outgoing personality. He is also known for his generosity and willingness to help family and friends.He is survived by his mother, Tabitha (Newlin) Stivers of Casey, IL; his son, Joshua (Jessica) Stivers of Casey, IL; his daughter, Amber (John III) Pell of Terre Haute, IN and their children Alexis and John IV and his companion of 15 years, Rita Miller of Martinsville, IL and her granddaughter they raised together, Olivia Miller. He is also survived by his siblings, John Stivers of Colorado; David (Kathy) Stivers of Marshall, IL; Danny (Corrina) Stivers of Casey, IL; Michael (Denise) Stivers of Martinsville, IL; Richard (Cindy) Stivers of Mattoon, IL; Dennis (Karla) Stivers of Marion, IL; Charlotte Connerton of Marshall, IL; Charles (Keri) Stivers of Casey, IL; Dave (Karen) Wilson of Casey, IL and several nieces and nephews.
