Thelma Perisho's Obituary
Thelma Perisho, 98, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 5:48 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. She was born April 29, 1912 in Beckemeyer, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Floyd and Flossie Chesser Floyd. On December 22, 1934 she married James M. Perisho in Hoguetown, Illinois. He passed away on March 10, 1993. Survivors include her son, Ron Perisho and wife Elaine of Casey, IL (formerly of Danville, IL); seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jerry Perisho, brother, Don Floyd, and sister, Helen Ramsey. Mrs. Perisho retired in 1975 as a Bookkeeper for Union Trust Co. in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of the Casey First Baptist Church, Old National Trails Antique Association, Fenton Glass Club and was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Rob Morris Chapter #98 in Fairview Heights, IL. Order of the Eastern Star service followed by funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. John Blaylock and Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to Casey First Baptist Church Missions PO Box 187, Casey, IL 62420.
