Thelma Harrison's Obituary
Thelma E. Harrison, age 94, of Mattoon, formerly of Janesville and Casey, died on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Mattoon Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at the Mitchell-Jerden Funeral Home in Mattoon with Rev. Mark Prevo officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and burial will be held at a later date. She was born January 18, 1911 in Casey, the daughter of Marshall and Mildred Townsend Freeman. She married Garrett Wall in 1934; he preceded her in death. She later married Scott Harrison in 1945; he also preceded her in death. She was a retired school teacher from Lerna Grade School where she taught for over 30 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are a son, Fred R. Wall of Mattoon and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son, two brothers and two sisters.
