Sue Edwards England's Obituary
Sue Edwards England, 71, of Casey, IL passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2007 at her home. She was born February 14, 1936 in Benton, IL the daughter of William Harvey Edwards and Linda Briley Edwards. On May 26, 1961 she married Richard England in Kansas, IL. Survivors include her husband, Richard England of Casey, IL; son, Terry England and wife Sharon of Westfield, IN; son, Dan England and wife Lois of Charleston, IL; daughter, Kandy Newlin and husband Daniel of Baytown, TX; grandchildren, Teri Lynn Tingley, Robert Tingley, Jeremy England, Andrea Rade and Matthew England; sister, Emma Lou Spencer and husband David of El Dorado Springs, MO; sister, Ann Ruble and husband David of Watson, IL; brother, Bill Edwards and wife Nancy of Dayton, IN; sister in law, Nancy Edwards of Shelburne, IN; and sister in law, Helen England of Sparta, TN. Her parents, brother, David Edwards and brother in law, Bill England preceded her. Sue was a 1954 graduate of Effingham High School, a 1958 graduate of Eastern Illinois University and a 1970 graduate of EIU with her Master's degree in Music Education. She taught music in Kansas, IL and Casey, IL public schools for over 32 years. After her retirement she continued to teach piano until her death. Sue was a member and served the Casey United Methodist Church in many capacities, the Emmaus Community, the Illinois Retired Teachers Association, the IEA Retired Teachers Association and the National Education Association. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Casey United Methodist Church, Casey, IL with Dr. Penelope Barber, Rev. Dan Smith and Mrs. Carol Pringle officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Kansas, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Casey Untied Methodist Church, the Casey Township Library or a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
