Subrina M Hand's Obituary
Subrina M. Hand, 90, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, Illinois. She was born March 5, 1918 in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of John Willis Huffman and Viola Vermillon Parker Huffman. Survivors include her son, James M. Hand and wife Becky of Tolono, IL; Granddaughters, Sarah Whittington and husband Joel of Champaign, IL and Erin Hand of Tolono, IL; and Brother, Johnny Huffman and wife Jeanette of Ogden, KS. Her parents and husband Henry C. Hand preceded her in death. Mrs. Hand worked for seventeen years at Ettelbrick Shoe Factory and retired from McQuay-Norris-SKF in Casey as an imprinter. She was a Navy Wave during WWII in Bethesda, MD. She was a member of Casey White Oak Church of God and a member of the Hutsonville American Legion Post #0742. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. David Ridge officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery with graveside military rites by Casey VFW Post #5762 and Hazel Dell American Legion Post #1230. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to Casey White Oak Church of God, 3305 E. 1000th Rd., Casey, IL 62420.
