Steve Zarka's Obituary
Joseph Stephen Zarka, age 60, of Manhattan, Kansas formerly of Casey, Illinois died Wednesday January 30, 2008 at his home. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Friday February 1, 2008 at the Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan, Kansas. There will be no visitation. He was born on February 27, 1947 in Selmer, Tennessee the son of Joe & Alice (Stubblefield) Zarka. On February 15, 1982 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Nichols in Daytona Beach, Florida. Steve was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the Army & Marines. He was the proud father of Joseph Derek, Jessica & Kathryn Alice. Steve loved playing with his dog: Meeko, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife: Kathy of Manhattan, KS; son: Joseph Derek Zarka of Casey, IL; daughters: Jessica Chambers of Gainesville, FL and Kathryn Alice Zarka of Manhattan, KS; his mother: Alice Zarka of Casey, IL; sisters: Judy Rankin and husband Jim and Mary Freeman and husband Marshall, all of Casey, IL; grandchildren: Joseph Trey Zarka & Devin Levi Zarka of Casey, IL and many other family and friends.
