Shirley Jane Orndorff Johnson's Obituary
Shirley Jane (Orndorff) Brown Johnson of Crown Point, IN passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Chicagoland Christian Village in Crown Point, IN. She was born December 10, 1939, in Gary, IN, the daughter of Cecil H. and Conova F. (Huddlestun) Orndorff. Shirley is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Johnson; three children, Cheryl (Jeff) Valdahl of Canton, MI, Douglas (Maria) Brown of Goshen, IN, Mark (Jill) Brown of Hobart, IN; four grandchildren; sister, Karen (Ron) Buhman; special friend ex-husband, Carl E. Brown; a niece and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a infant twin sister. She was a 1958 graduate of Edison High School in Gary, IN. She was retired from the American Heart Association as Program Coordinator of the Gary, IN area office. Funeral services will at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL 62420. Memorial donations and contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Chicagoland Christian Village,6685 E 117th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307.
