Sharon Lee Ramsay's Obituary
Sharon Lee (Reed) Ramsay, age 88, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:04 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born July 8, 1937 in Union Township, Cumberland County, IL the daughter of Lowell Reed and Estella Mae (Underwood) Reed. On June 29, 1956 she married Jerry K. “Snowball” Ramsay in Cisne, IL.
Survivors include her children, Greg Ramsay (Debbie) of Casey, IL; Ken Ramsay (Joe Everhart) of Indianapolis, IN and Lynn Ramsay (Christy Richhart) of Casa Grande, AZ; granddaughters, Jennifer Lacy (Shawn) of Bourbonnais, IL and Meagan Ramsay of Kankakee, IL; great grandchildren, Owen Lacy and Baby Lacy due in March 2026; sister, Shirley Lacey of Lakeland, FL; brother, John Reed (Kathy) of Casey, IL; many nieces and nephews her church family and friends. She was preceded by her parents, husband, Jerry and infant daughter, Cheryl Lynn Ramsay.
Sharon was a 1955 graduate of Casey High School, where she participated in band. She attended Eastern Illinois University. Sharon loved music, gardening, reading and playing the piano. She was an avid Illini basketball and football, Chicago Cubs and Bears and college softball fan.
Sharon and Jerry farmed their entire married lives and she managed their home. They enjoyed their weekly crop drives and in later years she enjoyed the drives with Greg. Sharon was a faithful member of the Casey Methodist Church and Home Extension.
Private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Washington Cemetery, Cumberland County, IL.
