Sarah Juanita Moore Knierim's Obituary
Sarah Juanita Moore Knierim, 92, of Plover, WI and formerly of Casey, IL passed away at 12:12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Stevens Point Care Center in Stevens Point, WI. She was born February 3, 1915 in Poseyville, IN the daughter of Arthur Moore and Mary Jaquess Moore. On November 29, 1933 she married Lloyd V. Knierim. He passed away on August 15, 1984. Survivors include sons, Paul Knierim of Mokena, IL; Phil Knierim of Wheaton, IL and James Knierim of Casey, IL and daughter, Kathy Hyer of Plover, WI, brothers, Robert Moore of Owensville, IN, Arthur Moore of Glendale, CA; sisters, Lucille Lowenkamp of Evansville, IN; Arlene McCandless of Princeton, IN; Virginia Moore of Glendale, CA; grandchildren, Brian Knierim, Paula Martin, Scott Knierim, Mike Knierim, Doug Knierim, Bill Knierim, Linda O'Kane, Ken Knierim, Kathleen Haag, Rob Knierim, Traci Kreiwaldt, Tori Knierim, Jennifer Sosinski, Jayme Hyer, Ryan Hyer, Aaron Hyer, Adam Hyer, Sean Knierim, Kyle Knierim and Kelly Knierim, thirty-two great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, Arthur and Mary Moore; husband, Lloyd V. Knierim on August 15, 1984; son, Max Knierim on May 24, 1986; brother, John Moore and sisters, Mary Ella Thompson, Betty Crabtree and infant sister, Ruth. Sarah devoted her life to serving and loving her family. She cherished family gatherings and was most happy cooking and spending time with family and loved ones. She was very proud of all the accomplishments of her grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Marley Community Church in Mokena, IL with Pastor Allan Holder officiating. Local funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Dan Smith and Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Burial will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 - 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Knierim Scholarship Fund c/o Casey United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 365, Casey, IL 62420.
