Ruth F Wilson's Obituary
Ruth F. Wilson, 75, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, Illinois. She was born August 12, 1933 in Clark County, Illinois, the daughter of William Ellis Finley and Mildred E. Merrick Finley. In 1957 she married Jack McVicker; he passed away in 1965. She later married Eugene Wilson in 1968; he passed away in 1974. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie McKay and husband Kevin of Neoga, IL; son, Mike McVicker and wife Jeanine of Loxa, IL; sister, Maxine Kirkley of Casey, IL; sister, Marilyn Alderman and husband Gerald of Lincoln, IL; sister, Donna Dambacher and husband Del of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Jared McKay and wife Ashley, Bobby McKay, Asa McVicker and wife Reannon, Denver McVicker and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands. Ruth was the head cook for Charleston High School for many years. She also worked at Service Star and had a daycare in her home in Charleston, Illinois. Ruth was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Charleston. She enjoyed the simple things life had to offer, taking rides in the car through the country, going to Mill Creek, shopping, going out to eat and the love of her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her special treasures that only a grandmother knows. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the Markwell Chapel in Westfield Illinois with Pastor Tom Skinner officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the Chapel.
