Ruth Frances Hall's Obituary
Ruth Frances Hall, 87, of Casey, IL passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born September 3, 1926 in Paris, IL, the daughter of Everett Ewing Snider and Lucille Hazel Sharf Snider. On June 13, 1947 she married Bernard McDonald Hall Jr. in East St. Louis, IL. He passed away on February 9, 1993. Survivors include her sons, David Hall and wife Cathy of Casey, IL and Dennis Hall of Pierron, IL; grandchildren, Steven Hall and wife Lindsey of Casey, IL; Debbie Dallape and husband Johnny of Casey, IL and Erin Hall of Belleville, IL; great grandchildren, Sydnie Hall, Hayden Orrell, Carson Hall, Logan Dallape, Dawson Dallape and Bryce Dallape. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Richard Snider; sister, Mary Marsh and daughter in law, Barbara Hall. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker. She was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church and a former VBS teacher. She was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Eastern Star in East St. Louis. Ruth was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Paris, IL. She loved to barbeque out in her backyard with her family while listening to a game on the radio. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini fan. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and even had a special room in her house dedicated to them. One of her specialties was baking Christmas cookies to share with her family and friends. Most of all she adored her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Penelope H. Barber officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. The family requests memorial donations to Casey In Action Tree Planting Fund, P.O. Box 163, Casey, IL 62420. Funds donated will be used to plant new trees in the Casey Fairview Park.
