Ronald Davis' Obituary
Ronald Davis, 84, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:58 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his home. He was born August 31, 1930 in Akron, OH, the son of Harry Russell Davis and Wanda Maude Nebergall Davis. On June 19, 1949 he married Mary Lou McGinness. She passed away on August 4, 2005. Survivors include his daughters, Alesia Grigg of Charleston, IL and Angela Davis of Casey, IL; son, Jeff Davis and wife Rhonda of Villa Grove, IL; grandchildren, Christopher Doherty of Charleston, IL Ashley Baily and husband D.J. of Charleston, IL, Zachariah Davis and wife Angel of Casey, IL, Megan Roberts and husband Sean of Westfield, IL and Rachel Eck and husband Merlin of Mnster, Germany; and great grandchildren, Zoey Davis, Lucas Davis, Vaedyn Roberts, Bryce Roberts and Lucille Eck. He was preceded by his parents, wife and infant son, Rodney Davis. Ronnie was a US Air Force Korean War Veteran. He was a former owner and operator of Kwik-Mix Inc. of Casey. After retiring, he helped out at J&K Mitchell. Ronnie was a member of the Walnut Chapel Church of Christ, Greenup American Legion and the Casey Masonic Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a past president of the Casey School Board. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Jason Hosfield officiating with military rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion following. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Monday prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL.
