Robert Jeffrey "Jeff" Walters, 57, of Neoga, IL passed away at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL. He was born March 2, 1956 in Decatur, IL, the son of Edward William "Bill" Walters and Clara Irene Tipsword Walters. Survivors include his daughters, Erica Creek and husband Beau of Jay, OK and Ashley Walters of Neoga, IL; son, Cody Walters of Neoga, IL; grandchild, Adahy Holt of Jay, OK; mother, Clara Walters of Casey, IL; grandmother, Lida Tipsword of Casey, IL; brother, Ed Walters and wife Suzy of Sperry, OK; sister, Kathy Hurt and husband Rick of Casey, IL; mother of his children, Gloria Walters; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Thomas Cleo Walters and infant twin brothers. Jeff was a 1974 graduate of Casey High School. He worked as a packaging machine operator for Lender's Bagels in Mattoon, IL. Jeff was a member of the N.R.A. and an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved to hunt and fish. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
