Robert Dean Swick's Obituary
Robert Dean Swick, 70, of Casey, died at 6:42 a.m. Wednesday (May 10, 2006) at his home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Markwell Funeral Home, in Casey, with the Rev. Larry Hollensbe officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was born June 12, 1935 in Rose Hill, IL, son of Arthur Harry Swick and Georgiana Chapman Swick. He married Dorothy Catherine Mullen on Sept. 16, 1961 in Hazel Dell, IL. Survivors include his wife, Dot Swick of Casey; daughters, Tammy Whitton of Casey and Jackie Tuttle and husband Mark of Casey; brother, Roger Swick of Findlay, OH; sisters, Lois Lorene Hanners of Casey and Connie Jean Mooney of Dix, IL; two grandchildren, Kale and Ty Tuttle of Casey; and his beloved Yorkie, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James A. Swick, Lewis S. Swick, Noel W. Swick and an infant brother. Mr. Swick retired as a 43 year member of the Operative Plasterers' & Cement Masons' Local #143 of Champaign, IL. as a Cement Mason. He was an Army veteran, member of the Casey Moose, Operative Plasterers' & Cement Masons' Local #143 of Champaign. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, 700 Broadway Avenue East, Suite 9, Mattoon, IL 61938.
