Robert L "Bob" Lamb's Obituary
Robert L. "Bob" Lamb, 74, of Casey, formerly of Martinsville, died at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Markwell Funeral Home, in Casey, with the Rev. Marvin Oakley officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Markwell Funeral Home. Bob was born August 3, 1931, in Martinsville, Illinois the son of Charles I. Lamb and Helen I. Morlan Lamb. He married Carolyn Beard on April 16, 1957 in Toledo, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lamb of Casey; three sons, Tom Lamb and wife Shelly of Martinsville, Jerry Lamb and wife Angela and David Lamb and wife Judy, all of Casey; sisters, Evelyn Linn and husband Warren of Casey, Wilma Wortman of MN, Virginia Guy of Martinsville, Naomi Tipsword and husband Richard of Decatur, Joan Ogle and husband Holly of Livingston, Carolyn Cutright and husband Tony of Casey and Amanda Black of Martinsville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Joey Lamb; sisters, Gloria Ryerson and Betty Lowrey; and grandsons, Charles Robert Lamb and Clayton Wade. Mr. Lamb was retired from Union Carpenter Local 133 of Terre Haute, IN. Bob was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran and loved to fish. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
