Robert Dewayne Ellington's Obituary
Robert Dewayne Ellington, age 63, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 2:55 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Gibson Family Hospice Center, Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born January 2, 1956 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Noah Dean Ellington and Wilma Jean Brosman Ellington. On August 8, 1975 he married Carol Sue Goble in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carol Ellington of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Kerry Jo Brown (Todd) of Martinsville, IL; granddaughter; Mikayla Jodry of Martinsville, IL; step grandson, Xavier Brown of Robinson, IL; brothers, Rick Ellington (Gloria) of Martinsville, IL and Rodger Ellington (Shelly) of Effingham, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert was a 1974 graduate of Martinsville High School. He was a heavy equipment operator out of Local 841 for over 25 years and worked for Conrail for over 18 years in maintenance. Robert enjoyed motorcycles, coon hunting and fishing. At his request there will be no services. He will be interred in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL at a later date.
