Rev. Richard L. Willis, 65 of Casey, IL passed away on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 3:30 a.m. in Effingham, IL at the home of his father and mother in law. He was born on August 30, 1941 in Vandalia, IL to James Willis and Sarah Alice Jacobs Willis. On August 1, 1965 in Effingham, IL he married Linda L. Kroenlein. Survivors include his wife, Linda Willis of Casey, IL; sons, Donald Kevin Willis and wife Dana of Traverse City, MI and Ronald Willis and wife Sharese of Albany, IN; grandchildren, Josh, Tristen, Chance, Dallas and Seth Willis; sisters, Helen Phelps and Pat Blankenship of Vandalia, IL; father and mother in law, Donald and Opal Kroenlein of Effingham, IL, brothers and sisters in law, Ronald and Barb Kroenlein and David and Barb Decker of Effingham, IL; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded by his parents, five brothers and five sisters. Rev. Willis was a preacher and a truck driver, he pastored Churches in Ramsey and Casey, IL and served in Evangelestic Ministry with his wife for many years. He was an ordained minister and member of the United Pentecostal Church. Worship Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Apostolic Center Church, 205 Country Club Road, Mattoon, IL 61938 with Rev. Derold Doughty officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 7 p.m. at the Church. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, IL. Markwell Funeral Home of Casey, IL is in charge of arramgements. Memorials may be made to the family.
