Richard Lee "George" Kemper, 57, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born June 20, 1953 in Westfield, IL, the son of Elmer Kemper and Erma Dell Craig Kemper. Survivors include son, Travis Kemper of Casey, IL; daughters, Marlene Finn of Trilla, IL; Becky Graham of Greenup, IL; Carol Marie Wilkins of Casey, IL and Kimberly Dawn Kemper of Casey, IL; brothers, Billy Ray (Irene) Kemper of Greenup, IL; Harold "Butch" Kemper of Danville, IL; Ed (Marie) Kemper, Sr. of Toledo, IL; David Kemper of Casey, IL and Jack (Trina) Kemper of Westfield, IL; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and formerly married and survived by Kay Dryden and Mabel Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Dale Kemper; sister, Peggy Kemper and great granddaughter, Janessa Leann Karantz. George was a self employed concrete finisher. He had previously worked for Huisinga Grain. He was a lifetime member of the Cumberland County Sportsman Club. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. John Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery north of Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
