Ramona Jean"Monie" Miller's Obituary
Ramona Jean Miller, affectionately known as Monie passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Heartland Nursing Center in Casey, IL at the age of 93. She was born January 23, 1929 in Casey, IL the daughter of Charles A. Perry and Bessie Snyder Perry. On December 24, 1950 she married Robert D. Miller in Casey, IL; he passed away on August 13, 2004.
Survivors include her daughters, Tami Lynn Hackett (Jerry) of Casey, IL; Janice Lea Blankenbaker (Bill) of Charleston, SC and Nancee Kay Owens of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Amanda Hackett Kunde (Jeremiah) of Dalton, MA; Nathan Hackett (Stesha) of Lerna, IL; Brandon Blankenbaker of Charleston, SC; Ryan Blankenbaker (Devan) of Charleston, SC; Quinton Owens (Chrissy) of Avon, IN; Aaron Owens (Emilia) of Alexandria, VA and Monaca Owens Andrews (Neil) of Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren, Logan, Lucas and Molly Kunde; Callen, Annastyn and Declan Hackett; Allie and J.J. Blankenbaker; Drake, Ryleigh, Avery and Bennett Owens; Logan and Victoria Owens; Robby, Dahlia and Arthur Andrews and many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Charles E. Perry and Harry Richard Perry; sisters, Betty Alice Clark and Ramola Harper and half-brother, Wilmer Perry.
Monie was a 1946 graduate of Casey High School. She retired from SKF Industries in Casey, IL after 15 years. Monie was a member of Casey First Christian Church. She had a strong faith in the Lord, and we know she is grateful to be in His arms now, whole and pain free.
Monie was always a kind, caring, compassionate woman who would do anything to help her family and others. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports when she was able and also enjoyed watching sports on TV. She enjoyed reading, word searches and most of all spending time with her family. We are all better people because of her; we affectionately called her "The Leader of the Pack."
Private family services will be held per her request. Burial will be in Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL.
