Ralph Dean James' Obituary
Ralph Dean James, 86, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:55 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. He was born September 19, 1925 in Greenup, IL, the son of Lafayette James and Chloe Edna Wilson James. On March 31, 1948 he married Beulah Loraine Baker in Greenup, IL. Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Beulah James of Casey, IL; daughter, Vicki Lynn Keller and husband Kenneth of Casey, IL; daughter, Nancy Sue Sanders and husband Robert of Casey, IL; grandson, Jason Keller and wife Ellen of Salem, IL; granddaughter, Heather John and husband Leroy of Owensboro, KY; granddaughter, Lyndsay Sanders of Lewisport, KY; great granddaughters, Sydney Keller, Haley, Havanah and Heleina John. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Raymond, Burley, Harold and Wayne James, two sisters and grandson, Aaron Keller. Ralph was a US Army WWII veteran. He served his country from 1943 to 1945 in the 87th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the VFW, the Greenup American Legion and the Disabled Veterans Organization. He was a lifetime member of the Greenup Masonic Lodge and the Casey United Methodist Church. Ralph owned and operated James Barber Shop for over 60 years in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Markwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber and Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL with Graveside Military Rites by the Casey VFW, Greenup American Legion and the Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Casey Food Pantry, Casey Tote-A-Meal, Lincolnland Hospice, Lincolnland Visiting Nurses or the Casey United Methodist Church c/o Markwell Funeral Home, P.O.
