R. Michael "Mike" Beasley, 63, of Casey, IL passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born on October 29, 1949 in Casey, IL, the son of Russell Eugene Beasley and S. Elnora Decker Beasley. On October 15, 1971 he married Roberta K. Cargle in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife, Roberta Beasley of Casey, IL; sons, James Beasley of Denver, CO; Russell Beasley and wife Leslie of Casey, IL and Chris Beasley of Chicago, IL; daughter, Halana Goodman and husband Steve of Greenville, SC; brothers, Vinton Beasley and wife Kittie of Oblong, IL and Steven Beasley; sisters, Mary Ellen Arabatgis and husband John of Robinson, IL; Nancy Linderer of Charleston, IL and Debra Jean Anderson of East Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Chase Beasley, Chynna Glenn, Ian Beasley, Brittany Goodman and Danielle Goodman and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mike worked as a carpenter for Sturdi-Built in Charleston, IL. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Lakins officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
