Phyllis Maxine Draper's Obituary
Phyllis Maxine Draper, 83, of Cedar Park, Texas formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away on Friday morning, February 27, 2009 in Cedar Park, Texas. She was born March 12, 1925 in Arcola, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas J. Pankey and Anna Leah Mattox Pankey. On June 13, 1944 she married Robert "Russell" Draper in Lovington, Illinois. He passed away on July 26, 1989. They were blessed with five children, son, Tom Draper of Cedar Park, TX; daughter, Phyllis Ann Craig and husband Terry of Cedar Park, TX; son, Don Draper and wife Debra of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Lauretta Wilson of Mazon, IL; daughter, Juanita Fisher and husband Rick of Clarksville, IL; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; sister, Betty Murphy and husband Claude of Savoy, IL; brother, Bill Pankey and wife Helen of Charleston, IL; brother, Richard Pankey and wife Marie of Florida; sister in law, Mary Pankey of Villa Grove, IL and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, sons in law, James Wilson, James E. "Jed" Davidson; brothers, Lee Pankey, Everett Pankey and sister in law, Edna Pankey preceded her in death. Phyllis was a member of Five Points Christian Church, where she used to teach the "Sunbeams" class. She was a homemaker and an avid crocheter. Phyllis was previously employed with Coil Sales in Marshall, IL and Bennett Motor Express in McDonough, GA for many years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, Illinois with Rev. Larry Morecraft officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Martinsville, Illinois. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Center, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
