Peggy J Seaton's Obituary
Peggy J. Seaton, 64, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:22 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her home. She was born on January 25, 1950 in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Kenneth Shobe and Katherine Harris Shobe. On January 6, 1979 she married James Keith Seaton in Casey, IL. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Keith Seaton of Casey, IL; daughters, Michelle Blankenship and husband Eric of Casey, IL and Rebecca Wattleworth and husband Eric of Decatur, IL; sons, James Wylie Seaton and wife Leslie of Martinsville, IL and Jeremy Lucas Seaton and girlfriend, Sarah Thomas of Martinsville, IL; mother, Katherine Shobe of Casey, IL; brothers, Kenny Shobe of Casey, IL and Bill Shobe and wife Jean of Neoga, IL; sister, Judy Harvey of Peoria, IL; mother in law, Freda "Arlene" Seaton of Marshall, IL; and sisters in law, Lynn Ann Robinson and husband Bill of Terre Haute, IN and Laurel Byrne and husband Mark of Newton, IL. Peggy also leaves behind eleven devoted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and daycare children. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Shobe; sister in law, Mickie Shobe, and father in law, James S. Seaton. Peggy was a 1968 graduate of Casey High School and spent 42 years of her life dedicated to providing for, teaching and caring for the children of Casey in her home-based daycare. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Casey and Everyday Angels. Peggy spent the majority of her life committed to teaching, molding and loving her family, grandchildren and those who entered her home. She continued to worry about those around her until the Lord took her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the First Christian Church, Casey, with Rev. Gene Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Tuesday at the First Christian Church, 200 SE 8th St., Casey, IL. To continue touching the lives of children, as was her passion, Peggy asked that all memorial donations be made in the way of children's books to Monroe Elementary School, 301 E.
