Pauline Olive Applegate's Obituary
Pauline Olive Applegate, 93, of Casey, IL passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2006 at Heartland Manor Nursing Center. She was born on October 31, 1912 in Moonshine, IL to Rev. J. Roscoe Deverick and Letha Lovina Chapman Deverick. She married Glen E. Applegate on December 24, 1931 in Marshall, IL. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1991. Survivors includer her daughter, Myrna Davis of Anderson, IN; daughter in law, Barbara Applegate of Casey, IL; foster sister, Betty Cribelar Geesa of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren, Rick Applegate & wife Michela of Casey, IL; Terri Flynn of Pompano Beach, FL; Ronda Brinkley of Anderson, IN; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Myron Applegate; brother, Eugene Deverick; grandchildren, Rodney Applegate, Randy Applegate, and Keith Davis. Pauline was a retired substitute teacher and former owner of the Hoguetown Store. She was a member of the Casey Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she played the organ. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 23, 2006 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey with Rev. Ronnie Gross and Rev. Ron Juenger officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
