Paul Russell Cox's Obituary
Paul Russell Cox, 50, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 5:13 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. Paul was born on February 23, 1961 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Howard Victor Cox and Mabel Eileen Bean Cox. Paul is survived by his parents, Howard and Mabel Cox; sister, Brenda Thompson and husband Bob of Erie, IL; sister, Sandy Cox of Casey, IL; brother, Mike Cox and wife Joyce of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Gail (Gig) Simonton and husband Ron of Martinsville, IL; brother, Rob Cox and wife Rachel of Oakland, IL; three nieces and two nephews and four great nephews and one on the way; and his faithful dog, Susie. Paul was a lifelong farmer, a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Kansas, IL and Clark County Farm Bureau. He was always seen riding his Harley Davidson, that he was passionate about and was a member of HOG (Harley Owner Group). He was an avid Bears fan and was always rooting for A. J. Almendinger in NASCAR. Funeral services will be held at Greenwell Funeral Home on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Bro. Russell Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bean Cemetery north of Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the funeral home.
