Orville Yelton's Obituary
Orville Frank Yelton, age 84, of Hazel Dell, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2006 at the Church of Christ in Hazel Dell with Bro. John Craig officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey. Burial will be in the Hazel Dell Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Hazel Dell American Legion #1230 and Casey VFW Post #5762. He was born February 17, 1921 in Hazel Dell, the son of Frank and Anna Belle Lawson Yelton. He married Dovie Christine Brown on October 5, 1946; she preceded him in death on March 31, 1997. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Hazel Dell Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and taught a young persons class. He was a member of the Hazel Dell American Legion and was active with the Casey VFW. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Surviving are a son, Donald G. Yelton of Hazel Dell and two grandsons, Jason Yelton of Quincy and Aron Ghast of Greenup. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter-in-law Cindy Yelton and two sisters, Daisy Chapman and Flossie Huddlestun. Memorials may be made to the Hazel Dell Church of Christ.
