Oran E Boyd's Obituary
Oran E. Boyd, 91, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, Illinois. He was born March 4, 1916 in Robinson, Illinois, the son of Samuel Harrison Boyd and Elnora Newlin Boyd. On June 30, 1937 he married Mary Leona Boyd in Casey, Illinois. She preceded him on February 26, 2006. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. Green and husband James of Salem, MO; two sons, William L. Boyd and wife Carolyn of Channahon, IL and Samuel A. Boyd and wife Mary of Gunbarrel, TX; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. His parents, wife, sister Juna Boyll and grandson Billy Boyd preceded him. Oran was retired from Pure Oil - Union Oil of California. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home, Casey, Illinois with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
