Ora M Brinegar Jr's Obituary
Ora M. Brinegar, Jr., 81, of Casey, IL formerly of Newark, IL passed away at 10:14 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born March 3, 1934 in Olive Hill, KY the son of Ora M. Brinegar, Sr. and Gladys Griffin Brinegar. On November 13, 1995 he married Shirley J. Canup in Columbus, OH. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Brinegar of Casey, IL; children, Mike (Pam) Brinegar of McCordsville, IN; Linda (Randy) Gant of Bowling Green, KY; Diane (Bob) Brinegar-Gibson of Compton, IL; Debbi Brinegar of Clermont, FL; Jon Brinegar of Clermont, FL; stepdaughter, Kim (Terry) Hall of Casey, IL; sisters, Jean McCabe of Tinley Park, IL and Alice (Carl) Erwin of Olathe, KS; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister in law, Loretta Brinegar.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora & Gladys Brinegar; brother, Ralph Brinegar and sister, Edna (Tony) Frascone. Mr. Brinegar was a machine operator for Caterpillar in Aurora, IL for over 37 years. He also worked as an automotive mechanic in Newark, IL. He enjoyed mowing on his John Deere tractor and watching westerns and cowboy movies. He enjoyed spending time in his "work shop" garage that he and Shirley built together with a little help from his son, Jon. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Gant officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Donor's Choice.
