Opal M Williams' Obituary
Opal M. Williams, 94, of Lincoln, IL, formerly of Oblong, IL, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2006 at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln, IL. She was born August 23, 1911 in Clark County, IL, the daughter of William Chapman and Nettie Whitehurst Chapman. She married Raymond L. Williams on April 30, 1932, he passed away on February 7, 2000. Survivors include a son Wilbur L. Williams and wife Virginia of Lincoln, IL, two grandsons, Donald Williams and wife Maria and Ronald Williams both of Lincoln, IL and one granddaughter, Lesliea Palmer and husband James of Newman, IL. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two brothers, Elzi Chapman and Elvi Chapman and two sisters, Gladys Williams and Ressie Elliott. Mrs. Williams was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ and a former member of Belair Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey with Bro. Jimmy Rue officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Casey-Cumberland cemetery in Casey. Memorials may be made to Belair Church of Christ or Lincoln Church of Christ.
