Nora Ellen Medsker's Obituary
Nora Ellen Medsker, 78, of rural Annapolis, IL passed away at 2:49 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at her residence. She was born on September 9, 1930 in Orange Twp., Clark, Co., IL, the daughter of Joseph and Lillie Nieburger Stephens. On September 30, 1947 she married Dean Medsker in Melrose, IL. He passed away on June 4, 2001. Nora is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Hill and husband Dwight of Annapolis, IL and Dianna June Medsker of Annapolis, IL; two grandchildren, Nora Bowen and husband Andy of Martinsville, IL and Eric Hill and wife Kim of Robinson, IL; four great grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin Hill of Robinson, IL and Ethan and Elijah Bowen of Martinsville, IL; brother in law, Jerald Medsker and wife Jean of TN; four sisters in law, Dorthy Stephens of Robinson, IL, Grace Schryer and husband Mel of Rochester, IN, Ruth Exline of Jasonville, IN and Betty Medsker of IN; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband and two brothers, Bruce Stephens and Harold O. Stephens preceded her in death. Nora was a homemaker and a member of the Willow Creek Church of Martinsville, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, IL with Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will be in the Medsker Cemetery in Melrose Twp., IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
