Nina M. (Bennett) Barnes, 80, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born August 30, 1931, in Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Hubert H. Bennett and Gertrude E. McNurlan Bennett. On November 12, 1949, she married Hollis Webster Barnes in Henderson, KY. He passed away on March 4, 1995. Survivors include her son, Don (Cathy) Barnes of Casey, IL; brother, Ronald Bennett of Casey, IL; brother, Hubert Gayle (Karen) Bennett of Casey, IL and sister, Neva Sue (Jerry) Comer of St. Petersburg, FL. She was preceded by her parents, husband, brother, Robert N. Bennett and sister, Genevieve Davidson. Nina was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 101 E.
