Nellie Mae McVey's Obituary
Mrs. Nellie Mae (Justice) McVey, 66, of rural Casey, IL died Friday, October 9, 1981 at Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She was born May 10, 1915 in Mohawk, West Virginia, the daughter of Adam and Angeline (Shortridge) Justice. She married Elzie McVey on August 5, 1931. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Elzie McVey of rural Casey, IL; two sons, Fred McVey of Westfield, IL and Elmer McVey of Casey, IL; one daughter, Mrs. Jackie Partlow of Casey, IL; three brothers, Sidney Justice of Kansas, IL; Cecil Justice of Bluefield W Va, and Hawsley Justice of Warren Clift, W Va; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hurley of Warren Clift, W Va; Mrs. Mattie Wallace of Roanoke VA and Mrs. Grace DeBord of Saltville, VA; nine grandchildren, Adam, Vicki and Marsha McVey, Marshall and Maria Partlow and David, Lisa, Dustha and Kristen McVey and one great grandchild, Wayland Watson Partlow. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clarence Justice. Mrs. McVey was a homemaker. She attended the Union Separate Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Monday, October 12, 1981 at 2 p.m. at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL with Rev. Eugene Sims officiating. Burial followed in the Forsythe Cemetery, north of Marshall, IL. Visitation was held on Sunday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
