Nelle Marie Barkley's Obituary
Nelle Marie Barkley, 101, of Indianapolis and formerly of Hazel Dell, IL passed away at 11:15 p.m. EST on Monday, July 24, 2006 at Lakeview Manor, Indianapolis, IN. She was born August 5, 1904 west of Marshall, IL to Leonard Irson McFarling and Ora Dell Partlow McFarling. She married Charles Barkley in Hazel Dell, IL, he passed away on July 10, 1961. Survivors are brothers, Robert McFarling and wife Grace of Indianapolis, IN and Donald McFarling and wife Betty of Brownsburg, IN; sister, Mildred Nunamaker of Indianapolis, IN and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and four sisters. Services will be held at 1 p.m. CST on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Visitation will be from 12 - 1 p.m. CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hazel Dell Cemetery. Mrs. Barkley worked as the Credit Manager for the family business McFarling Foods in Indianapolis, IN. Memorials may be made to the Hazel Dell Church of God or the Hazel Dell Church of Christ.
