Naomi R Linn's Obituary
Naomi Ruth Linn, age 94, of Stephens City, Virginia, formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away on August 3, 2013. Naomi was born on June 8, 1919 in Martinsville, Illinois, to the late James E. and Laura Barbour. She married Lloyd L. Linn on November 1, 1941. Lloyd and Naomi settled in Chicago, later moved to Florida, and then to Germantown, Maryland. Naomi retired from Bechtel Corporation. She was a life-long church musician; her first position as a church organist was at age 13. She concluded her organist career at Redland Baptist Church, Rockville, Maryland, after 27 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and four sisters: May, Opal, Edna, and Ethel. She is survived by the extended families of a nephew, Maurice Fasig and his wife, Gwen, of Martinsville, IL; a niece, Marilyn Mathison of Minneapolis, MN; a niece, Mildred Fasig, wife of the late Bill Fasig, of Stephens City, VA; a niece, Joyce Fasig of Carmel, IN; and a niece, Bobbie Smith of Alabaster, AL. Graveside inurnment will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL with Rev. Ross Halbersma officiating.
